Founders Sai Krishna VK and Ajay PV – who previously cofounded the AI/AR platform Scapic (acquired by Flipkart) and subsequently led Flipkart Labs – ShopOS aims to provides brands with an intelligent AI workforce to fundamentally transform how they make, manage, and market their products.

“ShopOS is building the commerce stack of the future with AI at its core. The potential for an AI-driven operating system to empower brands, particularly in navigating cross-border commerce and hyper-personalisation is a lot. Sai and Ajay have the proven ecommerce and technical expertise required to execute this vision,” said Bansal.

The start-up founders said the ecommerce landscape has evolved dramatically, yet the operational models for brands haven’t kept pace. They said the friction in content creation and personalisation are significant drags on growth.

“Our previous start-up journey taught us the importance of solving hard problems, and with ShopOS, we are focused on delivering what AI agents can truly do for brands. We are building from India for the globe and with this funding milestone, we wish to tap into the smartest AI minds in India to build the future of Commerce,” they added.

The start-up leverages AI agents to streamline three key areas of commerce: content, marketing, and storefront operations. The ‘Make’ module crafts product visuals, videos, and written content tailored to a brand’s identity.

‘Market’ handles localised campaign execution and automates customer targeting. Meanwhile, ‘Manage’ continuously adjusts the storefront experience based on user behavior.

ShopOS has early customers in India, Europe and UAE and will expand to hundreds of brands in the coming year.
