A movie that inspires you…
In The Pursuit of Happyness the protagonist has a never-say-die attitude. He remains confident and optimistic in the face of all odds. Anand is another, for the protagonist’s will to live life to the fullest, despite knowing that he won’t live for long. I have watched the film so many times, yet every time, it brings tears to my eyes.

...and a song?
Zindagi Kaisi Hai Peheli from Anand, which is on being prepared for every eventuality, gracefully accepting life on its terms.

How do you de-stress?
The biggest stress buster is being with my family. I particularly enjoy our drive to our weekend home as we listen to music on our way.

An anecdote or lesson you’d like to share?
When I had signed up for a very senior role in one of my previous organisations, my predecessor painted a picture of doom and gloom for me. He felt that I was not ready for the role. This left me stressed, but I did not let it break my spirit. My wife and father kept me motivated with their words of support and encouragement. It turned out to be one of the most successful roles of my career and changed the course of my life.

Any quote or saying that inspires you?
To be honest, my own life and work has blessed me with the inspiration I seek. I am inspired much more by my failures because they have taught me great lessons. These lessons push me to challenge myself, move forward and keep doing better.
