Sales of Indian single malt whisky are estimated to have reached around 5 lakh cases in 2025, up about 22% year-on-year, driven by strong demand for homegrown premium brands.
Indian distillers account for an estimated 92% of the Made-in-India single malt market, while the overall single malt segment, including imports, is estimated at around 8.5 lakh cases.
Industry body CIABC said rising consumer preference for premium spirits, new product launches and global recognition are accelerating the growth of Indian single malts.
