Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is the fastest-growing major economy, offering political and economic stability and transparent policies that attract investments in green energy, manufacturing, and technology.
Speaking at the India-Japan Economic Forum in Tokyo, he said India contributes 18% to global growth and is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy.
Modi highlighted India’s strong capital markets, stable banking sector, low inflation and interest rates, and foreign exchange reserves of about $700 billion.
Japanese companies have invested over $40 billion in India, including $13 billion in the past two years.
