Foreign investors invested ₹12,921 crore in Indian equities in the first week of August, following ₹20,200 crore of inflows in July.
Expectations of US rate cuts, lower crude prices, a stable rupee and an improved RBI growth-inflation outlook are supporting fresh foreign allocations.
Despite the recent turnaround, FPIs have withdrawn ₹2.41 lakh crore from Indian equities so far this year, while sectors such as automobiles, consumer durables and healthcare are attracting buying interest.
