Bayer CropScience Shares Rally up to 13% on Robust Q4 Results; Announces Rs 35 Dividend

Bayer CropScience shares rose as much as 13% to touch an intraday high of Rs 5,802 on the National Stock Exchange after the company reported 49% on-year increase in net profit for the March quarter. The company’s net profit for the period stood at Rs 143.3 crore.

Its revenue for the quarter under review jumped 32% on year to Rs 1,046.4 crore. Increased inventory-related gains during the last quarter of FY25 aided the overall earnings of the company. Its input costs rose 87% on year to Rs 979 crore in Q4.

For the full financial year, the agri care company’s net profit dipped 24% to Rs 568 crore, while its revenue grew 7% to Rs 5,473.4 crore. The board of directors has approved a final dividend of Rs 35 per share for FY25, amounting to Rs 157.3 crore.

“In Q4, our Revenue from Operations grew by 32% over the previous year, driven by strong performance in spring corn and by both strong performance and double-digit liquidation growth in the crop protection portfolio,” Simon Wiebusch, vice chairman, managing director and CEO of BCSL, said. “The promotional investments made in the previous quarter generated significant returns,” he added.

Bayer CropScience is a global enterprise with core competencies in the life science fields of health care and nutrition. It is engaged in the agri care business and manufactures, sells and distributes insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and other agrochemical products.

The stock has risen 8% over the last one year, and over 16% in the last one month. So far in 2025, it has given returns to the tune of 3%. Shares of Bayer CropScience are trading 21% below their 52-week high level, while 35% higher than their 52-week low level. About 8.5 lakh shares have changed hands today so far on the National Stock Exchange.
