The mediation was led by retired Justice R.V. Raveendran, appointed by the Bombay High Court to negotiate a resolution in the Rs 5,000 crore brand infringement case filed by Abhishek Lodha. The dispute centered around the alleged use of the "Lodha" name by Abhinandan’s company.

According to an official statement by Macrotech Developers, the settlement confirms that Macrotech retains the exclusive rights to use the brand names “Lodha” and “Lodha Group,” while Abhinandan’s HoABL will continue to exclusively own the “House of Abhinandan Lodha” brand.

Additionally, both parties have agreed that neither brother will have any rights or involvement in the other’s business, and that both companies will "communicate widely" that they are entirely unrelated entities.

“In a significant development, the Lodha brothers — elder brother Abhishek Lodha and younger brother Abhinandan Lodha — and the companies led by them have amicably resolved all outstanding disputes under the guidance of their parents,” Lodha Ventures, owned by Abhinandan, said in a statement.

What the Dispute Was About

The legal battle followed years of family tension and two prior settlement agreements. In January 2025, Macrotech filed a lawsuit accusing HoABL of unauthorised use of the “Lodha” brand in marketing its plotted development projects in Goa, Ayodhya, and other locations. The suit also sought Rs 5,000 crore in damages.

HoABL denied the claims, asserting that any references to the "Lodha" brand were made by third-party brokers and not the company itself. It also maintained that it had complied with the terms of the 2017 family settlement.

Earlier, HoABL had also filed a police complaint, requesting an investigation into a “malicious conspiracy” by unknown individuals allegedly attempting to defame the company and damage its reputation.
