Pankaj Rana, CEO of Hisense India, said on Wednesday that the company aims to become one of the top three television brands in India within the next two years.

Rana was speaking at a press conference at the LiQO Store in Zirakpur, near Chandigarh, after the launch of the company's 116-inch 4K Mini RGB television, Hisense 116UX.

The television was unveiled by actor and singer Sara Gurpal.

“Globally, Hisense has consistently maintained its position among the top one or two TV brands, and we aim to replicate that success in India,” Rana said.

He said the company would launch air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines across India, and not limit the expansion to Punjab and Haryana.

Rana said Punjab was an important market for Hisense and expressed hope that the company would achieve its highest market share in the state.

“Punjab is my hometown, and naturally, I want Hisense to have its highest market share in India here,” he said.

According to Rana, the launch of the 116UX in the region showed the company's confidence in the Punjab market and the growing demand for large-screen premium televisions.

Satvir Goyal, Managing Director and B2B Strategic Alliances Specialist, Amaflip India Pvt Ltd, and Gaurav Garg, Chief Operations Officer, LiQO, Amaflip India Pvt Ltd, were also present at the event.

Amaflip operates LiQO stores in Chandigarh, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Pinjore, Solan and Kharar. It plans to expand its retail network to other major markets, including Delhi, Ludhiana, Gurugram and Mumbai.

Rana said Hisense had been working with LiQO since entering the Indian market two years ago.

He said the retail network, which has around 8-10 stores, had played an important role in expanding the company's presence in the region.

“With air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines being added to our portfolio, we see substantial potential to further accelerate Hisense's growth through our partnership with LiQO and strengthen our presence across India,” Rana said.

The 116-inch Hisense 116UX is available at authorised LiQO stores in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula at a price of ₹21,99,999.

The flagship television features Real Mini RGB display technology, a 165Hz native refresh rate and AI-powered picture and sound features.

Hisense said the new television is aimed at consumers looking for premium and ultra-large-screen home entertainment.

With the expansion into multiple home-appliance categories and plans to strengthen its retail network, the company is aiming to increase its presence in India's consumer electronics market.
