The Mumbai-based firm, which is in the process of investing around ₹150 crore in its manufacturing plant in Karnataka and other related infrastructure, is eyeing a 15% market share of the DC charger segment by 2030.

The company is expected to start shipping out orders to charge point operators (CPOs) and other customers, including fleet owners, by the end of October this year.

"By 2030, there is a projected need for 4 million public chargers, with 8 lakh being DC chargers. The company aims for 10-15% market share of this segment," Everta Managing Director Benny Parihar told PTI in an interaction here.

By 2027, the company plans to manufacture and deploy around 3,000 chargers annually, making a substantial contribution to the critical electrification mission, he added.

Everta's plant in Bengaluru is expected to be operational by the third quarter this year.

The facility enables localised production of DC chargers from 60 kW to 320 kW and beyond, catering to four-wheelers, buses, trucks, and heavy machinery, Parihar said.

The company aims to strengthen the domestic supply chain, reduce reliance on imports, and contribute towards a sustainable EV infrastructure. It also plans for a domestic value addition (DVA) of over 50%, with a goal of 100% localisation over the next few years, he said.

Everta has entered into a technology partnership with StarCharge, a global leader in EV charging with over 2 million units deployed across 60 countries, serving major auto OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and infrastructure providers.

Under the Technology Licensing Agreement (TLA), the company will manufacture, commission, and provide service support to its DC fast chargers across India.
