Deepinder Goyal, founder of Zomato and Eternal, has unveiled a smaller version of Temple, his experimental health wearable, saying the device is now less than half the size of the version shown earlier. Goyal also announced that pre-orders for a limited launch edition will open soon, with shipments expected before the end of 2026.
In a LinkedIn post, Goyal said, “Temple is now less than half the size of what you've seen so far. Volumetrically, Temple is now the smallest wearable on the market, and the most^10 powerful.” He asked interested customers to join Temple’s mailing list for further updates.
Goyal has not yet announced the official launch price of the wearable. However, The Economic Times (ET) reported that Temple is expected to price its debut health wearable at ₹75,000–80,000, targeting premium consumers.
The startup is also preparing for its next funding round at a valuation of around $500 million, according to the ET report. It has separately launched a partial employee stock option (ESOP) buyback at a $375 million valuation, according to people familiar with the matter and internal documents accessed by ET.
Temple raised $54 million in February at a $190 million valuation from Peak XV Partners, Steadview Capital, Dharana Capital, Info Edge Ventures and more than 80 individual investors.
Temple first drew widespread attention after Goyal appeared on Raj Shamani’s Figuring Out podcast in early 2026 wearing a small metallic, clip-like device on his head.
The device is a health wearable designed to track real-time cerebral blood flow and neurological markers. It has since become one of Goyal’s major technology projects outside Zomato and Eternal.
With the latest version now significantly smaller, Temple is moving closer to its planned commercial launch. Goyal said the limited launch edition will be available for pre-order soon and is expected to begin shipping before the end of 2026.
He said in his LinkedIn post: “We will start taking pre-orders for our limited launch edition Temple very soon - shipping before the end of 2026. Join our mailing list on temple.com to stay up to date.”
