Technology has come a long way – from the days of old bulky desktops to sleek portable laptops of now. But students and professionals are not the only people benefitting from these latest upgrades. Gaming enthusiasts have a lot to choose from for a wholesome experience.

Take for example, the highly-rated Asus ROG G703 priced at Rs.499,990. “G703 is aimed at the high-end prosumers and enthusiastic gamers; it is a complete desktop replacement,” says Arnold Su, head, PC & ROG, Asus India. The G703 comes with Intel Core i9 processor, GTX 1080 graphics and 144Hz display for the best gaming experience. Its other eye-catching highlights are 512GB storage combined with PCIe 3.0x4 SSDs, that load your games faster. It also has an advanced anti-dust cooling (ADC) system with two 12V fans to protect this gaming beast. “If we talk about gaming only, we have technologies such ADC which helps in increasing the lifespan of the product by not letting gunk and dust settle in the exhaust for a long time. Further, our internal thermal design, high refresh rate displays and build quality are equally important factors which offer a lot more bang for the buck,” Su adds. The company is also focusing on innovation beyond gaming. One such example is the recently launched ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580) with a ScreenPad instead of a touchpad.

Another laptop that will catch any gamer’s fancy is the Acer Predator 21X, which runs on 7^th Gen Intel Core i7-7820HK processor and sports a 21-inch curved screen. Priced at Rs.699,999, its 2560x1080 pixels bring the games to life. “Predator 21X delivers a truly immersive gaming experience, especially when combined with the notebook’s eye-tracking technology from Tobii,” says Chandrahas Panigrahi, CMO, Acer India. No wonder then that this new feature would be a delight while you’re identifying enemies, aiming and taking cover in games such as Elite Dangerous and Deus Ex: Mankind. Panigrahi adds, “Acer has always been a technology brand that has been ahead of the curve. The last one in the league is the Titan GT83 by MSI. The laptop costs Rs.419,990 and NVIDIA's latest GeForce GTX 1080 SLI GPU helps to deliver a smooth gaming experience. It also supports upto three external 4K display, and is especially known for providing an immersive platform for virtual reality games. “We have a series for Titan and all of them are remarkable. The GT83 has a Killer DoubleShot Pro LAN card. Therefore, you can use your wifi and LAN at the same time,” says Abhay Prabhu, technical marketing specialist, MSI. Now, the laptop brand is coming up with products feasible for women named PS42 on which they can play lighter games.
