Ravindra Kelkar believes a good book is the best teacher

 When I want to collect specific learnings, I turn to books. Management books are my favourite. Great by Choice by Jim Collins and Morten Hansen, which talks about why some companies thrive in uncertainty while others do not, is an interesting read. It is quite pertinent to today’s times.

I also found the concept of ‘inner engineering’ fascinating. Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy is like a modern-day Gita, which spells out the path to success and happiness in relateable language.

  I love watching mainstream Bollywood movies. They help me unwind and recharge over the weekend. I enjoy watching old-time favourites such as Andaz Apna Apna, Hera Pheri and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar as they remind me of simpler times.

Ghazals by Jagjit Singh instantly lift my mood. They have all the great ingredients – good music, lyrics that are easy to understand and, most importantly, are easy to sing along. I also like listening to songs by Kishore Kumar.

 Indian food is my go-to cuisine. When I am travelling, I make sure to never miss out on the local cuisine from different parts of India. Goan fish curry and rice, karimeen polichatu, and appam and stew are some of my favourite dishes.

 I prefer travelling within India because I believe it helps the country’s economy. I have spent some lovely holidays in Goa, Kerala and Uttaranchal. I would love to revisit Kerala for its serene beaches and Uttaranchal for the breathtaking views.
