I generally pick up autobiographies among which few of my favorites are the ones by Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela and Abdul Kalam. Another book that stands out for me is Gabriel García Márquez’s, One Hundred Years of Solitude. One book that had a great impact on me was Mahatma Gandhi’s, The Story of My Experiments with Truth.  

I love Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon and The Seven Samurai. Humanism and honesty are the hallmarks of Kurosawa’s movies. Malayalam classics by Adoor Gopalakrishnan such as Elippathayam and Mathilukal have also influenced me. Since I am interested in the nuances of film making, what attracted me most to Adoor's movies is his eye for detail.

I don’t have the bandwidth for sports now, but I used to love playing cricket and badminton. Both are very different games but both teach you crucial life lessons.

I have travelled and lived around the world, but nothing offers the fulfillment of a home-cooked meal. I simply love Kerala cuisine and the traditional sadya is my favourite pick for its varied flavours and delicacies. 

I think Asia has some of the most spectacular sceneries. The beauty of El Nido in the Philippines thus far has struck me the most. The pristine white beaches and steep limestone cliffs, surrounded by turquoise waters are just magnificent.
