TELUS International India (TII), a leading digital customer experience (CX) innovator, recently demonstrated its commitment to community service by organizing the annual TELUS Days of Giving (TDOG) event. This year, the event focused on refurbishing Gandhi Smarak Vidyalaya, a public high school in Noida. Over 500 TII team members dedicated their time and efforts to support the school's 1,200 students, driven by their shared passion for volunteering and a strong sense of community.

The TII volunteers embarked on a comprehensive renovation project, revitalizing three buildings that housed 20 classrooms, along with numerous hallways and staircases. They also took on the task of refurbishing hundreds of school desks and benches, generously donating an additional 210 of these essential items. Recognizing the importance of technology in education, TELUS International India pledged to equip the school's newly constructed computer lab with 35 computers, complete with desks and chairs.

Understanding that a well-rounded educational experience extends beyond the confines of classrooms, TII went the extra mile to enhance the school premises. They constructed a basketball court to encourage physical activity, planted several vibrant garden areas, and adorned the walls with inspiring murals, adding a touch of beauty throughout the campus.

In addition to the physical renovations, TELUS International India's volunteers engaged directly with the students, organizing a career workshop and mentoring activity. The workshop aimed to prepare the students for their upcoming university interview sessions, providing valuable guidance and support during this critical phase of their education.

“India has one of the largest and most diverse education systems in the world, with a substantial youth population. The importance of contributing to the future of India’s youth is reflected in the country’s National Education Policy which aims to bring vital transformation in our education system,” said Rajiv M. Dhand, Regional Vice-President for TELUS International Asia-Pacific and Africa.

Through their collective efforts, TII and its dedicated team members demonstrated their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others. By transforming Gandhi Smarak Vidyalaya into a more conducive learning environment, they have empowered the students and enriched their educational journey, fostering a brighter future for the entire community.

“We are extremely delighted and happy to welcome the TELUS International India team in our school.
