Bharat Forge arm Kalyani Powertrain partners AMD for Made in India servers 

With this partnership, Kalyani Powertrain looks to introduce AMD’s advanced EPYC based server technologies to India

Kalyani Powertrain, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge, will enter the Indian server market in collaboration with the US-based AMD.

The development comes as a boost in advancing India's server infrastructure. The partnership will help foster local manufacturing and reduce dependency on imports, Bharat Forge said in an exchange filing with the BSE.

“The servers manufactured through this partnership will feature AMD processors,” the company said. 

With this partnership, Kalyani Powertrain looks to introduce AMD’s advanced EPYC based server technologies to India. 

“This strategic partnership will help meet the growing demand for high-performance computing across industries like automotive, telecommunications, cloud computing and AI. With a focus on improving India’s server and data center capabilities, this initiative is an important move towards positioning India as a major player in the global tech industry,” the company said in the filing.

AMD will also provide design collateral and technical documentation to support the electronics division of Kalyani Powertrain in building and optimizing its solutions, helping ensure they meet global standards, the filing said.

“The collaboration will empower enterprises, cloud providers, hyperscalers, and government organizations with high-performance, cost-efficient server solutions tailored for AI workloads, cloud computing, and large-scale data processing,” it added.

According to Statista, revenue in the servers market is projected to reach $2.02 billion in 2025 and post an annual growth rate of 10.26% till 2029, reaching to a market volume of $2.98 billion.
