Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the SCO summit and pledged to deepen trade and investment ties while working towards a fair resolution of the border issue.
Both leaders emphasised that India-China relations should not be seen through a “third country lens,” amid strained India-US ties over tariffs and criticism from Washington.
Talks covered reducing India-China trade deficit, tackling terrorism jointly, and pushing for fair trade in multilateral forums.
