Unlike other players, Lifestyle places orders closer to the season. For instance, it would place orders in September while competitors do it by July, for the spring summer season that starts February. Plus, it focuses on multiple options. “It is the result of being more fashion-conscious and the desire to offer more variety to the consumer,” says Gupta, fondly remembering the red kurta Deepika Padukone wore in Piku from the Melange range. “There was also one in Cocktail, though Piku gained more attention,” he says.
