“From April 15, 2025, all DelhiT2 flights will shift to DelhiT1 due to maintenance,” said IndiGo in a post. The low-cost carrier is sending notifications to registered passengers through email and WhatsApp. Along with this, the company’s website has a list of flights that are being reassigned, the travel advisory by IndiGo stated.

Akasa Air issued a similar travel advisory to update passengers about the change.

“Starting 15 Apr 2025, all our flights to and from Delhi will operate from Terminal 1 (1D) of Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. Please check your flight status before proceeding to the airport,” said Akasa Air.

The airline suggested a list of measures for the passengers to ensure hassle-free travel, including additional time to reach the airport well in time for the flight and to check in online on the website or mobile app. Akasa Air also informed that check-in counters will close 60 minutes before departure and boarding gates will close 25 minutes before departure.

“Our teams are working diligently to ensure a seamless transition of our operations from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1,” Akasa Air said.

IGAI has three terminals, and for domestic travel, airlines usually use T1 and T2. As T2 will remain temporarily closed, airline operations will take place from T1 and T3. Civil Aviation Secretary Vumlunmang Vualnam mentioned that the passenger traffic can be handled by T1 and T3 and despite closure of T2, flow of passengers will be hassle-free.
