The US President has confirmed the new tariff rates on imports from all trading partners. Here’s a list of countries facing the highest tariffs-

1. Cambodia: 49%

The southeast Asian country will face the highest tariff rate under the new policy.

2. Vietnam: 46%

3. Sri Lanka: 44%

5. Thailand: 36%

6. China: 34%

The US President has also imposed a 26% tariff rate on all Indian imports. For Japan and the European Union, the tariff rate stands at 24% and 20%, respectively.

"Foreign cheaters have ransacked our factories, and foreign scavengers have torn apart our once beautiful American dream. Our country and its tax payers have been ripped off for more than 50 years, but it is not going to happen anymore," Trump said.

The United Autoworkers (UAW) union has backed US President Donald Trump’s auto tariffs, claiming they could help recover jobs lost to Mexico and Canada over the years. "It's our declaration of independence," Trump said while addressing the crowd in the White House Rose Garden.
