Anthropic Opens Bengaluru Office, Unveils Major Indian Partnerships across Sectors

With India as Claude’s 2nd largest market, the company announced new partnerships with Air India, CRED, and Pratham to drive AI in education, agritech, and enterprise

AI start-up Anthropic announced on Monday that it will officially open a new office in Bengaluru and has established multiple partnerships in India across the enterprise, education, and agriculture sectors.

Irina Ghose, Managing Director of India at the company, said that India represents one of the world’s most promising opportunities to extend the benefits of responsible AI to many more people and enterprises, citing the country’s technical talent, large-scale digital infrastructure, and proven record of using technology to improve lives.

The company said these partnerships will expand in the coming months and years as its presence in India grows. The new Bengaluru office, Anthropic’s second in Asia after Tokyo, has officially opened; led by Irina Ghose, an enterprise and startup technology leader, the office will focus on hiring local talent across a wide array of roles.
