A movie that inspires me...
Shahrukh Khan-strarrer Chak De! India is about teamwork and looking beyond stereotypes. It is interesting how people from different geographies come together as a cohesive unit to achieve a larger-than-life goal. The movie has taught me to focus on my goals with undivided energy.

And a song...
Eye of the Tiger from Rocky III.  A song about survival; it is very motivating. It talks of challenges, scaling up your efforts and doing what needs to be done to achieve your goal. Not just the lyrics or the music, but the video is also equally inspiring. It teaches a lot about perseverance and sportsmanship.

When anxiety sets in...
I sit back and reflect on the entire situation with a calm mind. It helps me analyse issues and get to the root of the problem. Often, we encounter problems that are not in our control. It is always better to accept them and then act. This approach has helped me resolve stress and anxiety, giving me strength to move forward in life.

To de-stress…
I cycle. As soon as I hop on to my bike, it takes me down memory lane. I also believe there is a direct link between endurance exercises and the feeling of well-being. Thus, I partake in different sports such as tennis, table tennis, swimming and golf.

Lowest point in my life….
Losing both my parents within a year. I was emotionally devastated but my family’s constant support helped me overcome the grief. It has been my pillar of strength in tough times. I am eternally grateful for having such great people around me.

A lesson I’d like to share...
Don’t allow ‘stress’ to stress you. It is a relative term and its implications differ from person to person. Creating a positive ecosystem in one’s mind can help in dealing with any situation in a pragmatic way. The best way is to step away from a tense situation for a while and figure out ways to address it. Come back to it later.
