A movie that inspires you…
The Pursuit of Happyness taught me to never give up on a dream and keep at it till you realise it. Another is Life Is Beautiful for the protagonist’s use of wit and humour in dealing with difficult situations.

...and a song?
Kurai Ondrum Ilai by MS Subbalakshmi — a song about gratitude. I listen to it every day and it helps me handle whatever life throws at me with some degree of equanimity.

When anxiety sets in…
I breathe and visualise. Sometimes I go for a quick walk or speak with a friend or a relative about something completely unrelated.

Other ways to de-stress?
Learning something new is a great way to de-stress. This year, I learnt to swim and started taking lessons in classical music again. I listen to a lot of podcasts and read inspiring books, such as biographies.

How did you deal with the lowest point in your life?
Several times in my career, things did not go as planned. In Customer Asset, my first start-up, we had to pivot the business. During this time, we could not even pay salaries for a while. But the founders and the management came together, rallied together the entire staff and finally our sincerity and honesty paid off. We could turn around our company without losing even one employee.
