Favourite Movie

The Godfather, based on the novel by Mario Puzo. Everything about this is just incredible—each performance, the philosophy and the artistic way the entire mafia world was captured! This cult classic put into the spotlight the reality of the mafia world; their modus operandi, their “humane” side so poetically explained through the anti-hero concept.

Favourite book

It has to be The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. It is one of those rare books that just blew my mind, and I keep going back to reading it again and again. And with every new read, I am able to discover something new.

Favourite sport

I have boxed at the national level, but cricket has always been my favourite sport! The stadium energy that envelopes you during a World Cup or any other monumental cricket moment, like watching Sachin Tendulkar score 200, is exhilarating. There is a sense of pure patriotism that naturally comes alive wearing the Indian jersey and cheering for your country.

Favourite cuisine

I love Japanese food. It is extremely refined, and creating any dish is almost like mastering an art. But, my mom’s south Indian specialty dish bisi bele is hands down my favourite! On a binge day, I ask her to prepare it in a massive cauldron at home.

Favourite travel destination

Currently, it is Maldives. I love the seamless blend of luxury and nature that does not feel extravagant. Although I have traveled with my family to other exotic places, like Borneo, the Turkish coast along the Aegean Sea and New Zealand, something about Maldives has my heart.
