Technology start-up Atom Alloys plans to scale up exports as it has received approval from authorities in the US, Japan and the Middle East for its 'Advanced Explosion Prevention System' for fuel tanks for storing gasoline, kerosene and aviation fuel.
"Atom has successfully received approvals from companies in the United States, Japan and the Middle East. (We) are going to scale up export and production in these markets very soon," CEO Atom Alloys Ajit Tharoor said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company was registered in 2016 under India's Startup India programme on recommendation from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

Atom Alloys is a registered vendor/supplier of explosion prevention technology to companies such as Tata Motors and GE Power.
The company's products are supplied to Japan, the Middle East, Mexico & USA. It has manufacturing facilities in Mumbai, India & UAE with offices in UAE, Oman, Mauritius, Japan and the USA.
Atom fuel container furnished with Atom's AEPS has been successfully tested at the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in Texas, USA.
The SwRI operates the US Army TARDEC (Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center) laboratory providing state-of-the-art R&D and engineering services for the US Army, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, US Coast Guard and other government agencies.

The company primarily supports civilian, security and military establishments by offering state-of-the-art technology to prevent explosions in fuel tanks, lubricant storages and bulk fuel containers that store hydrocarbon fuels such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel.
The ATOM Explosion Resistant Fuel Tank was developed for SPG's (Special Protection Group) Bulletproof Tata Safari fuel tanks.
This innovation was further developed and expanded into industry-specific applications like fuel bowsers, fuel skids, above-ground fuel stations and large mobile fuel storage.
