Bengaluru faces scheduled outages from June 20 to Sunday, June 22, as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) carries out power cuts across key areas for infrastructure upgrade and maintenance by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).
This week’s Bengaluru power cut is due to planned upgrades by KPTCL. The maintenance aims to improve system reliability across BESCOM zones, covering residential, commercial and industrial areas.
Outages will impact HMT Main Road, CMTI, Boralingappa Garden, GKW Layout, RNS Apartment, ESI Hospital, Akash Theatre Road, Kasthuri Road, Friends Circle, and Malayali Guest House Road.
Outer Bengaluru areas like Tharabanahalli, Hesaraghatta, Chikkabanavara, Dasenahalli, and Soladevanahalli will also be affected. Bannerghatta Road, BTM Layout and Electronic City remain impacted under previous schedules.
On Sunday, June 22, power will be cut from 10 AM to 5 PM in Electronic City Phase-1. Affected areas include Doddathoguru, Bommanahalli, NJR Layout, Chikkathoguru, Konappana Agrahara and Hongasandra.
From June 20 to 22, BESCOM has scheduled continuous outages (9 AM–5 PM) in Anekal and Attibele zones. Affected areas include Anekal, Attibele Town, VBHC Apartment, Yadavanahalli and nearby villages. Longer restoration times are possible.
BESCOM urges residents to check its official website and social media for real-time updates. Citizens are advised to charge essential devices, plan errands early and prepare backup power if needed.
