Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 75 on 17 September. He is slated to celebrate his milestone birthday in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, inaugurating key initiatives and campaigns reflecting his commitment to public service, women’s empowerment and community health across the country.
Born on 17 September 1950 in the small town of Mehsana, Gujarat, Narendra Damodardas Modi served three consecutive terms as the state’s Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014. Since 2014, he is serving as India’s Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.
Leaders, citizens, and international figures extended warm wishes to PM Modi. Among them, India’s President Droupadi Murmu praised his leadership and vision, along with a call from US President Donald Trump, highlighting deepening strategic, economic, and diplomatic ties between India and the United States.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of his 75th birthday, PM Modi will launch the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ and ‘8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ campaigns at 12 noon in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. These nationwide programs, running from 17 September to 2 October, will operate from Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres (CHCs), District Hospitals, and other government facilities.
Over one lakh health camps will be organised nationwide, marking the largest-ever outreach for women and children. These daily camps at government facilities provide preventive, promotive, and curative health services at the community level.
Nationwide blood donation drives will be conducted under the campaign, with donors registering through the e-Raktkosh portal. Pledge campaigns will run on MyGov, and beneficiaries will be enrolled under PM-JAY, Ayushman Vaya Vandana, and the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) for comprehensive healthcare access.
PM Modi will also transfer funds under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana into the bank accounts of eligible women across India. Nearly ten lakh women are expected to benefit, strengthening maternal and child welfare and providing financial support seamlessly.
To improve maternal and child health awareness, PM Modi will launch the Suman Sakhi Chatbot. It will deliver accurate, timely guidance to pregnant women in remote and rural areas, helping them access essential healthcare services and preventive medical support effectively.
PM Modi will inaugurate the ‘Adi Seva Parv’ in Madhya Pradesh, celebrating tribal pride and nation-building. The initiative will run service-focused programs in tribal areas, covering health, education, skill-building, livelihoods, water conservation, and environmental protection.
PM Modi will also unveil the PM MITRA Park in Dhar, spanning over 2,150 acres. Equipped with world-class facilities like a Common Effluent Treatment Plant, solar power, and modern roads, the township will boost industrial growth and increase income for regional cotton farmers.
