Shantanu Naidu, Ratan Tata’s close aide and Tata Motors General Manager, was named ‘Social Impact Leader of the Year 2025’ at the Viksit Bharat 2047 – Google for Education Summit, recognising his contributions to education and social change.
Naidu, from a family linked to the Tata Group for five generations, shared the moment on Instagram with a heartfelt caption via @socktalks.tv. “The short story is, tiny award, took Amma with me, made a bunch of inspiring friends,” he wrote, along with photos from the event.
Shantanu Naidu appeared alongside notable personalities Aman Gupta, Suniel Shetty and Raj Shamani, highlighting India’s expanding school-based entrepreneurship ecosystem.
“I never thought the push for school-based entrepreneurs would be so fiery in India. And clearly, there are some ridiculously inspiring people here that are prepared to roll their sleeves up,” Shantanu said.
Naidu, known for his animal welfare initiative “Motopaws” and support to Ratan Tata’s philanthropic efforts, was widely praised online for his commitment to social impact.
Naidu’s Instagram post on July 8 received over 2 lakh likes, with many praising his humility and leadership. One user commented, “Well done! We need more young people on the ground being leaders.”
