Netflix has reportedly chosen not to extend its $100mn deal with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Journalist Marina Hyde told Daily Mail that many people are waiting to see if a divorce happens which could be why Netflix or others dealing with them might maintain a loose connection.
Marina Hyde suggested that streamers expect a future split, so Netflix is maintaining ties with the couple, seeing a potential Sussex divorce series as a likely ratings success.
Markle is seen alongside various celebrities in her show 'With Love, Meghan', making homemade bath salts, extracting honey and decorating flowers. Despite being among the top 10 most watched shows the series has faced criticism from reviewers.
A Newsweek report states that With Love, Meghan has received lower ratings than Meghan and Prince Harry's Original Netflix biopic, particularly in reviews.
However, attending a New York media summit in December 2024, Harry dismissed marital rumors calling the speculations "absurd."
If a divorce happens then Markle could receive a huge settlement amount. Reports suggest that the couple has a prenuptial agreement with a clause stating she would receive $80mn for Lilibet and Archie's support, according to The Daily Mail.
