Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Executive Chairman of Tata Sons, was among India’s highest-paid corporate leaders in FY25, receiving a total compensation of ₹155.81 crore, according to the company’s latest annual report.
N. Chandrasekaran’s ₹155.81 crore package in FY25 included ₹15.1 crore in salary and other benefits. The bulk—₹140.7 crore—came from commission on profits earned during the financial year ending March 2025.
N. Chandrasekaran’s FY25 pay of ₹155.81 crore marked a 15% jump from ₹135 crore in FY24. Interestingly, this rise came even as Tata Sons’ profit after tax fell 24.3%—from ₹34,654 crore to ₹26,232 crore.
Noel Naval Tata, who joined the Tata Sons Board as a non-executive director following the passing of his brother Ratan Tata, received ₹1.42 crore as commission on profit in FY25.
Saurabh Agrawal, Executive Director at Tata Sons, earned ₹32.7 crore in FY25—marking a nearly 9% increase from the previous year. His compensation reflects his key role in the group’s financial strategy.
Anita Marangoly George, the sole woman and independent director on the Tata Sons board, earned ₹3.20 crore as commission in FY25.
Leo Puri, who retired from the Tata Sons Board in March 2025, received ₹3.13 crore during his final year of service.
Bhaskar Bhat, who retired from the board in August 2024, received ₹1.33 crore as commission on profit for his service during the financial year.
Venu Srinivasan, a non-executive board member of Tata Sons, has consistently declined to accept any commission from the company since his appointment, according to the FY25 annual report.
