Over the years, India has faced several terrorist attacks that have shaken the nation. Each attack has left a deep mark on India’s history, but they also reflect the country’s resilience and determination to fight back.
A series of 12 coordinated bomb explosions on March 12, 1993, rocked Mumbai , resulting in 257 fatalities and over 1,400 injuries. The attacks, orchestrated by the D-Company under Dawood Ibrahim, marked one of the deadliest terror incidents in India’s history.
5 terrorists entered the Indian Parliament in New Delhi On December 13, 2001, killing nine people, including security personnel. The attack nearly pushed India and Pakistan to war and led to stronger security across the country.

A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of Indian paramilitary personnel in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in 40 deaths On February 14, 2019. The attack was claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammed, leading to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
A terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 2025, claimed the lives of 28 civilians, predominantly Hindu tourists. India attributed the attack to Pakistan-based groups, leading to Operation Sindoor as a retaliatory measure.
