Player Registrations Rising

More than 1,300 players have signed up for the 2026 IPL mini auction in Abu Dhabi, including 16 capped Indian cricketers alongside a mix of domestic and international stars.

Maxwell Opts Out

Australian T20 star Glenn Maxwell has decided to sit out this IPL season. He thanked the league and fans for their support while confirming he won’t enter the mini-auction.

Auction Registrations Out

Cricbuzz, after reviewing the auction register, reported that 1,355 players have entered the mini-auction. The list includes prominent international cricketers from Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan.

Top Indian Players

Key Indian cricketers in the mini-auction include Mayank Agarwal, KS Bharat, Rahul Chahar, Ravi Bishnoi, Akash Deep, Deepak Hooda, Venkatesh Iyer, Sarfaraz Khan, Prithvi Shaw and Umesh Yadav.

International Players

Australia’s Cameron Green, Matthew Short, Josh Inglis, and Steve Smith have entered the auction. England’s Jamie Smith, Jonny Bairstow, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell and Devon Conway are also in.

Sri Lanka Entrants

Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga and Matheesha Pathirana have registered for the IPL mini-auction, adding to the pool of top overseas players available for franchises.

Teams Budget Limits

The 10 IPL franchises have a combined ₹237.55 crore for the mini-auction. Kolkata Knight Riders lead with ₹64.40 crore, while Chennai Super Kings can spend ₹43.40 crore.

Slots To Fill

A total of 77 squad slots need to be filled in the mini-auction. Teams can select up to 31 overseas players to complete their squads for the season.
