The Indian government has chosen eight start-ups to receive support under the National Quantum Mission (NQM) and the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems. Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh made the announcement

The selected start-ups include: QN Labs (Bengaluru) which is developing quantum-safe heterogeneous networks for quantum communication; QPiAI India Pvt Ltd (Bengaluru) seeking to build a superconducting quantum computer; Dimira Technologies (IIT Mumbai) focusing on the indigenous cryogenic cables for quantum computing and Prenishq (IIT Delhi) that develops precision diode-laser systems
QuPrayog (Pune) innovating optical atomic clocks for quantum sensing; Quanastra (Delhi) which is working on advanced cryogenics and superconducting detectors; Pristine Diamonds (Ahmedabad) qiming to create diamond materials for quantum sensing; and Quan2D Technologies (Bengaluru) responsible for advancing superconducting Nanowire Single-photon Detectors
The start-ups were chosen through a rigorous evaluation process, ensuring that their work aligns with the National Quantum Mission's (NQM) vision for advancing research and innovation in quantum technology
