Former United States President Joe Biden revealed that he has been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer on Monday. Biden had served as the 46th President of the United States and has spent decades in public service.
At age 82, Biden is diagnosed with fourth stage prostate cancer. His Gleason score of 9 indicates a high-grade, aggressive tumor requiring urgent attention.
Doctors confirmed that the cancer has spread from the prostate to his bones, showing it's at an advanced stage.
The diagnosis was officially made on May 16, 2025, following a series of medical tests and evaluations.
The cancer is hormone-sensitive, which means hormone therapy could be an effective option to control its progression.
Biden and his medical team are exploring available treatments, focusing on managing symptoms and slowing cancer growth.
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” said Donald Trump on Truth Social.
Kamala Harris said, “Joe is a fighter — and I know he will face this challenge with the same strength, resilience and optimism that have always defined his life and leadership,” she posted on her X account .
