The 78th Cannes Film Festival commenced on May 13, 2025, in the French Riviera, attracting a global audience of filmmakers, industry professionals, and cinema enthusiasts ,running till May 24.
Those applying late had to pay €224 (around Rs 21,371), including a €20 green contribution. This non-refundable fee granted official access to festival screenings.
Accreditation is granted to individuals involved in cinema-related professions, including actors, directors, producers, journalists, publicists, distributors and others engaged in the global film ecosystem.
Young film fans aged 18 to 28 can apply for the Cinephiles Accreditation. This lets them attend screenings at the Cineum and some partner venues. To apply, you need to be part of a recognised film school or film group.
Industry professionals involved in distribution, sales, production and acquisitions can obtain Marche du Film Accreditation, providing access to the festival’s industry-focused marketplace.
Attendees can book screening tickets online, with reservations opening between four days and one hour prior to each film. Access levels vary depending on the type of accreditation held.
Screenings take place across various venues, with the Palais des Festivals and the Cineum among the most prominent.
Every evening from 9:30 PM, the Cinema de la Plage offers open-air screenings that are free and open to the public.
