Banks across India will stay shut for 12 days this June due to festivals, weekends and regional observances. Check full state-wise list before visiting a bank.
In Kerala, banks will be closed on June 6 for Id-ul-Ad’ha (Bakrid), followed by a closure on June 7. With Sunday on June 8, it results in a three-day bank holiday stretch.
Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh will observe Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti and Saga Dawa. Banks in these states will be closed.
June 27 marks Ratha Yatra, leading to bank closures in Odisha and Manipur. This festival is significant in these states, affecting banking operations locally
Banks in Mizoram will be closed on June 30 to observe Remna Ni, a state-specific holiday, highlighting the importance of regional festivals in banking schedules
Apart from festival holidays, banks will be closed on all Sundays (June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29) and the second and fourth Saturdays (June 14 and 28) as per RBI norms.
Even on bank holidays, customers can utilise online banking services, ATMs and mobile apps for essential transactions, ensuring continuity in financial operations.
