Anant Ambani, Reliance director and youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, donated ₹5 crore to the Ganga Sabha at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. While visiting holy sites with his father and wife Radhika Merchant.
Ambani has donated ₹5 crore donation to help improve infrastructure at Har Ki Pauri. After visiting Haridwar, he invited Ganga Sabha official Tanmay Vashisht to Mumbai for a detailed discussion.
The meeting took place at the Ambani residence, Antilia, where they spoke about the Ganga river, ongoing projects and plans for Har Ki Pauri. Vashisht noted the Ambani family's deep spiritual values and their strong connection to sacred places like the Ganga.
During his visit to Haridwar, Ambani assured Ganga Sabha members of his full support for their efforts. In gratitude, the Sabha offered heartfelt thanks to the Ambani family and prayed for their health, happiness and lasting prosperity.
In 2020, Ambani also donated ₹5 crore to the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Board to help offset COVID-related losses. The board oversees the Char Dham shrines—Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri—along with 51 other temples across the state.
Earlier, Anant also donated a 20 kg gold crown (worth approximately ₹15 crore) to the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja idol in Mumbai ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi. He has been closely associated with the mandal for over a decade.
He has also supported cow shelters and donated to gau shalas, especially in Gujarat, focusing on animal care and preservation.
