Shark Tank India judge and Emcure Pharmaceuticals executive director Namita Thapar urged professionals to rethink hustle culture. In a viral LinkedIn post, she shared an honest take on wellness, stressing that true success starts with investing in your health.
On International Yoga Day, Namita Thapar shared on LinkedIn that true wealth isn’t built by 70-hour workweeks, but through consistent healthy habits that support both productivity and well-being.
Namita Thapar noted that while upgrading skills and reading are useful, they aren’t enough. She called yoga the real game-changer for long-term success, urging professionals to invest in their health, not just their careers.
In her post, she wrote, “That 70-hour work week gives you no wealth, just bad health & a body full of pains & aches.” Thapar emphasized that yoga helps build a stronger body and a stiller, calmer mind—both essential not just for work productivity but also for happiness in personal life.
In her video, Namita recommended Mountain Pose (Tadasana) to correct slouching and relieve neck, shoulder and back pain. This basic standing pose improves posture, activates the core and promotes mindful breathing.
A refreshing stretch for the whole body that builds strength in the arms and legs while easing tension in the spine and hamstrings.
This pose engages the core to tone abdominal muscles while boosting concentration and stability. It also supports digestion and enhances overall endurance.
She also recommend Bridge Pose to ease stress, stretch the spine and improve circulation. She also suggested Warrior Pose, which strengthens the legs and arms while building confidence and stamina.
This heart-opening backbend strengthens the spine and helps relieve lower back pain. It also stimulates the abdominal organs and increases energy levels, making it great for daily rejuvenation.
