Indian stock exchanges, including the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), have released the trading holiday schedule for the upcoming year.
The NSE provides a platform for trading equities, operating Monday to Friday and closed on weekends and holidays. Key trading sessions are: - Pre-open: 9:00 AM to 9:08 AM, Regular: 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM, Closing: 3:40 PM to 4:00 PM.
The stock markets will be closed for trading on February 26 on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.
In March, the NSE and BSE will be closed on the 14 and 31 on the occasions of Holi and Eid-Ul-Fitr, respectively.
In April, the markets will be closed on three days: the 10th, 14th, and 18th, on the occasions of Shri Mahavir Jayanti, Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti, and Good Friday, respectively.
In May this, the markets will be closed on May 1 due to Maharashtra Day.
In August, the market will be closed on the 15th and 27th on account of Independence Day and Ganesh Chaturthi, respectively.
In October, the Indian stock markets will observe holiday for three days: the 2nd, 21st, and 22nd, on the occasions of Gandhi Jayanti and Diwali, respectively.
