Shrikant Badve, promoter and managing director (MD) of Belrise Industries, has officially entered the billionaire league as the company’s stock continues to hit record highs after its listing.
Belrise shares have surged nearly 83% since the May 28 market debut of the automotive parts maker. The shares, which listed at ₹90, are currently trading at ₹166.
Badve holds a 59.56% stake in Belrise Industries, amounting to 53 crore shares. At the current market price, his holdings are valued at ₹9,550 crore.
Badve also serves on the Economic Advisory Council of the government of Maharashtra. He represents industry as Brand Ambassador of Magnetic Maharashtra and Make in India, alongside Sachin Tendulkar and Madhuri Dixit.
Shrikant Badve, a first-generation entrepreneur, set up Belrise in 1988 with just three employees. Today, the company has expanded into a leading auto manufacturing brand with a workforce of 8,000.
Belrise runs more than 17 manufacturing facilities across India, generating over ₹7,000 crore in revenue by producing components for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and other white goods.
Belrise produces safety-critical parts such as metal chassis, polymer components, suspension systems, exhaust solutions, and body-in-white components, catering to both electric and internal combustion vehicles.
Renowned for precision sheet metal pressing and fabrication, Belrise holds a 24% share in India’s two-wheeler metal components segment, placing it among the top three industry players.
