Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on June 10 after a series of increases in May. Despite the latest pause, fuel costs remain elevated following cumulative hikes of nearly ₹7.5 per litre since May 15.
Among India's largest cities, petrol stood at ₹102.12 per litre in Delhi and ₹111.21 in Mumbai. Diesel prices were ₹95.20 and ₹97.83 per litre respectively, reflecting the impact of recent fuel price hikes.
Kolkata continued to record higher fuel rates, with petrol priced at ₹113.51 per litre and diesel at ₹99.82. In Chennai, petrol cost ₹107.87 while diesel was priced at ₹99.65 per litre.
Hyderabad remained among the costliest cities for fuel, with petrol at ₹115.69 per litre and diesel at ₹103.82. In Patna, petrol stood at ₹114.24 while diesel was priced at ₹100.20 per litre.
Petrol prices reached ₹110.89 per litre in Bengaluru and ₹112.66 in Jaipur. Diesel rates stood at ₹98.80 and ₹97.78 per litre respectively, keeping fuel costs elevated in both cities.
In Gurugram, petrol and diesel were priced at ₹102.62 and ₹95.30 per litre. Noida recorded ₹101.96 and ₹95.44, while Thiruvananthapuram remained among the highest at ₹115.49 and ₹104.40 per litre.Other City Fuel Rates
Oil marketing companies (OMC) have raised fuel prices four times in less than two weeks as higher global crude oil costs filtered into domestic markets. The latest revision on May 25 increased petrol by ₹2.61 per litre and diesel by ₹2.71 per litre.
The conflict in West Asia disrupted global energy supplies and pushed crude oil prices higher. The Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments, remained under focus as supply concerns affected energy markets.
