Insulin and its salts stay tariff-free, ensuring affordable diabetes care. Vitamins like A, B1, B2, B5, B6, B12, C, and E, along with folic acid and niacin are also exempted from Trump's tariff announcements, bringing relief to the pharma and healthcare sectors.
Gold, Silver, and dore will not have extra taxes. Stainless steel scrap is also exempt. Other valuable metals like platinum, palladium and rhodium in Semi-manufactured forms are also tariff-free.
Zinc and its alloys, including high-purity casting-grade zinc, won’t face tariffs. Zinc scrap and non-household zinc products are also exempt. Basic dyes and colorants stay duty-free, along with coins and Nesoi.
Key semiconductor components including transistors, diodes, LEDs, and piezoelectric Crystalsa are also duty-free now. The exemption includes transistors with a dissipation rating of 1 Watt or less, as well as those exceeding 1 Watt, along with semiconductor-based transducers.
Books, brochures, dictionaries, and newspapers published at least four times a week are now duty-free. Exempted items include children’s picture books, trade ads, lithographic prints, maps, atlases, and hydrographic charts. Hand-drawn plans, handwritten texts, and photo reproductions are also duty free now.
Lumber products, including raw wood, plywood, and fiberboard, are exempt from new tariffs .This move benefits the construction and furniture industries, keeping costs stable and supporting housing affordability.
Oil and gas have been exempted from the new tariffs, keeping energy prices stable. This decision supports industries that use these imports by keeping prices stable and ensuring a steady supply.
