Razorpay AI Launch

At the FTX 2026 event, fintech firm Razorpay unveiled a new AI platform designed to transform how businesses build and manage payment infrastructure. It also introduced what it described as the world’s first Agent Studio for payments built on Anthropic’s Claude Agent Software Development Kit.

Razorpay’s Agent Studio

Razorpay’s Agent Studio is an AI-native platform that helps businesses manage online payments. Built on Anthropic’s Claude Agent SDK, it offers a marketplace where merchants can deploy AI agents to automate key commerce tasks.

Automation For Payments

Razorpay’s AI agents can automatically manage key payment operations. They recover abandoned carts, resolve payment disputes, handle failed subscriptions and forecast cash flows, helping businesses reduce manual work and streamline daily digital commerce processes efficiently.

CEO On Vision

Razorpay co-founder and CEO Harshil Mathur said businesses now need intelligent systems that act, not just software. He explained that AI agents can monitor revenue flows, resolve payment issues and generate insights from billions of transactions in real time.

Anthropic Partnership

Irina Ghose, managing director of Anthropic India, said the partnership shows how AI agents can tackle real business challenges. Embedded AI can help companies recover revenue, manage payment disputes and predict cash flow more accurately and efficiently.

AI Agents Working

Razorpay explained that its AI agents can detect when a customer abandons a purchase and step in automatically. Using transaction context, the system can start a voice or message conversation to encourage the buyer to complete the payment.

Seamless Platform Links

Razorpay’s AI agents can also connect with platforms like Shopify, Shiprocket and WhatsApp to access customer and transaction data. Businesses can also create custom agents using a no-code tool, defining tasks in plain language for automated actions.

Agentic AI Layer

Meanwhile, Razorpay also launched an Agentic Experience Platform, an AI layer built on Anthropic’s Claude technology. It enables businesses to manage payment operations using natural language commands rather than traditional dashboards or complex forms for easier and faster processing.

AI Payments Expansion

The company is also expanding its AI-driven payments by integrating agentic commerce features into apps with partners like Zomato, Swiggy and PVR Inox. This allows users to discover products and complete purchases seamlessly through a single conversational interface.
