Vodafone Idea has launched its 5G services in Chandigarh and Patna, expanding its 5G network after its initial launch in Mumbai.
The telecom company plans to further roll out 5G in Delhi and Bengaluru by May 2025, covering more regions in India.
Mumbai was the first city to receive Vodafone Idea’s 5G services, where over 70% of eligible users are already using the network.
The new 5G services offer a faster, more reliable network, improving experiences for users with high-speed internet, gaming, and video conferencing.
In Mumbai, the 5G network accounts for up to 20% of total network data traffic, demonstrating strong usage and demand, as reported by Economic Times.
Vodafone Idea has introduced various prepaid and postpaid plans for users to access 5G, including an unlimited data plan starting at Rs 299.
5G will provide users with ultra-low latency and speeds, enhancing cloud-based applications, gaming, and video streaming.
