Uber India has introduced a paid membership program called Uber One, allowing users to earn credits of up to 10% on two-wheeler, three-wheeler, and four-wheeler rides. The feature is now live on the Uber app and is available in major cities such as Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai
Uber One charges a monthly subscription fee of INR 149, with some users eligible for discounts of up to 80%. Users also have the option to subscribe to 3-month or yearly plans. It remains unclear whether the program has been fully launched or is still in a pilot phase
Uber One members can earn up to 10% credits on two-wheeler, three-wheeler, and four-wheeler rides, and up to 35% credits on Shuttle rides. They also receive 1% credits on Intercity and Rentals. Additionally, Uber One members are assigned top-rated drivers and have access to 24/7 service
Uber One members are being offered a limited-time 3-month Zomato Gold membership as part of the new service. This offering replaces Uber's previous Ride Pass program, which was discontinued in September 2024
Uber's new offerings are part of its larger strategy to enhance its presence in India. With a strong base of 10 lakh drivers and 17 million active users, Uber India continues to innovate. Along with Uber One, the company has rolled out features such as a women rider preference and the option for driver partners to cash out their earnings instantly
Uber faces strong competition in India from Ola, Rapido, and Namma Yatri. To strengthen its position in the premium segment, Uber is planning to reintroduce its high-end Uber Black service. Additionally, the company has partnered with logistics firm Shadowfax to integrate its two-wheeler fleet with UberMoto, enhancing its bike taxi offerings.
