Meta has launched its maiden Gaming Accelerator in India, aiming to nurture 20–30 small to mid-sized game studios through mentorship and AI-powered guidance.
India’s gaming market is booming—driven by a mobile-first audience, creator economy, and emerging AI tech—making it the perfect time for Meta’s push.
The accelerator is in partnership with Bitkraft Ventures (global gaming VC), Kalaari Capital (early-stage tech VC), Lumikai Fund (India’s gaming-focused VC) and Elevation Capital (consumer internet VC)—offering funding and strategic support for startups.
Developers will be trained in ad monetisation using Meta Ads and the Audience Network, along with user acquisition and campaign optimisation tailored for mobile gaming. Workshops will also cover AI tools like Llama for storytelling, personalisation and advanced game design.
The programme also includes mentorship from Venture Capitals (VC) firms on funding and business strategy. Developers will also receive expert guidance on scaling their games globally, helping Indian studios prepare for international market expansion.
The programme concludes with a Demo Day where developers showcase their progress to investors, Meta leaders and gaming experts. Top performers may gain platform visibility, funding and user growth support through Meta’s ecosystem.
Arun Srinivas, Managing Director and Head of Meta India, said: “India’s gaming community is full of creativity, but we must bridge the talent-opportunity gap. The Meta Gaming Accelerator will give developers access to ad tools, mentorship, and guidance to scale globally.”
Meta’s Gaming Accelerator is a focused bet on India’s digital future. The programme aims to fuel homegrown talent, spark innovation, create jobs, and help Indian studios compete on a global scale.
