November 26, 2024, saw Mahindra launch two electric SUVs – XEV 9e and BE 6e priced at Rs 21.90 lakh and 18.90 lakh respectively. The delivery will start in the final quarter of the financial year
The vehicles have been built on Mahindra's INGLO architecture. which increases interior space, includes a flat-floor design erasing the central tunnel common in ICE vehicles, and uses light, flat-floor skateboard structures and high-density batteries
The exterior has Connected LED DRLs and a glowing logo along with an SUV coupe design with a commanding presence. The interior includes a driver-focused dashboard, 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and ADAS
The exterior consists of a sloping roofline with an aerodynamic spoiler and 20-inch alloy wheels while the interior includes a driver-centric dashboard, front parking sensors, and 7 airbags for safety
The XEV 9e will work on 59kWh and 79kwh battery packs and have a claimed range of 656 km (79kWh battery), with a real-world range of 500+kms, whereas, the BE 6e will have 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs along with a claimed range of 682 km (79kWh battery)
The cars come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in addition to which, BE 6e also includes 7 airbags for safety. The vehicles also have dual-zone climate control and other premium features, for improved comfort and luxury
The Born Electric range is a crucial step in the journey to electric mobility for Mahindra with the INGLO platform being a key part of this transition, ensuring enhanced space, comfort, and performance for electric SUVs.
