Dabur India has appointed Herjit S. Bhalla as CEO for its India business, signalling a stronger push on domestic growth as the FMCG firm sharpens its home market strategy and improves execution across key categories.
Bhalla officially joined Dabur India on April 23, 2026, marking a key leadership transition. The company expects this appointment to support its efforts to strengthen market position and improve operational execution across categories in the domestic business.
Herjit S. Bhalla will lead the entire India business operations, taking charge of one of the company’s most important markets. The role gives him responsibility to drive performance, deepen presence and ensure stronger execution across Dabur’s core product segments.
In his new role, Bhalla will report directly to Mohit Malhotra, Whole-time Director and Global Chief Executive Officer of Dabur India. This reporting structure ensures that India operations remain aligned with global strategy and long-term organisational goals.
Before joining Dabur, Bhalla served as Vice-President for Canada and global customers at The Hershey Company. He handled leadership responsibilities across regions, bringing global exposure and strategic experience to his new role in India.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Bhalla spent over eight years at Hershey in roles across Canada, Asia-Pacific, West Asia and Africa. Earlier, he also worked at Hindustan Unilever and also held a role at Metro Cash and Carry.
Dabur India said it expects consolidated revenue to grow in mid-single digits for the quarter ended March 2026. The company added that operating profit is likely to grow faster than revenue, based on its latest quarterly business update.
