AI is changing software development fast. The big debate now is—can artificial intelligence truly replace human coders in the near future?
Currently, coding requires developers to translate business needs into logic and syntax, often through long hours of debugging and manual effort.
AI tools today already write basic code. Many are asking—how long before they outperform most human engineers, not just assist them?
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg joined the debate, “AI will probably be able to write better code than the average engineer.” he said as reported by India Today.
He believes AI will transform the workflow, claiming, “The way software is built will look completely different in a couple of years.”
Zuckerberg highlights, “Engineers will be able to give prompts and AI will do the coding,” replacing many traditional coding tasks.
While AI will handle most of the coding, Zuckerberg notes, “Engineers will still need to review code and give feedback to the model.”
While AI’s potential to replace coding jobs is real, it might also redefine roles. Will coders adapt and work alongside AI to unlock new possibilities in tech?
