Luxury goods major Kering sues Alibaba over the sale of counterfeits on the e-commerce giant's website

For many a discount shopper, this wb portal may be a dream come true, but for international luxury bag major Kering, Chinese e-comerce runaway success Alibaba is nothing more than a southeast Asian knock-off street market. At least, that's the import of the case the retailer, which owns brands such as Gucci, and YSL, has filed against Alibaba. Kering has claimed the latter's complicity in the sale of fake bags, timepieces and other accessories on its site. Alibaba, on its part, is tackling these claims head-on by promoting homegrown labels
