Clean energy major ReNew has unveiled significant achievements in its environmental efforts in its 'Third Sustainability Report: Driving Decarbonisation.'

According to the report, during the fiscal year ending in March 2023, ReNew prevented 14 million tonnes of carbon emissions and conserved 3.18 lakh kiloliters of water, marking a 48 percent year-on-year increase.The report highlights ReNew's commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 29.4 percent by the conclusion of FY 2026–27, benchmarked against the fiscal year 2021–22.

Regarding clean energy generation, ReNew claims to have produced 17,385 gigawatt-hours (GWh) during the fiscal year. This clean energy can potentially provide power to 5 million Indian households annually.

ReNew's sustainability initiatives extend beyond emissions and clean energy. The 'Third Sustainability Report' reveals that approximately 10 lakh individuals have benefited from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, encompassing climate education, school electrification, and water conservation.

As of June 30, 2023, ReNew's clean energy portfolio is 13.7 gigawatts (GW), comprising solar and wind capacities. This underscores the company's dedication to environmental preservation and a sustainable future.
